What is a home inspection?

A home inspection is a visual examination of the physical structure and systems of a home. From the roof to the foundation and all operating systems in between, a qualified experienced professional inspector will identify, inspect and report what items are in need of repair or replacement.

J&D Inspections will follow guidelines set forth in the Standards of Practice of NAHI (National Association of Home Inspectors).

Having a home inspected is similar to giving the property a physical check-up. The inspection process will document defects, lack of maintenance, items that need repair or replacement, and general concerns. The documentation or report is a comprehensive computer generated report. Itís important for a home inspector to know the difference between what is a problem, and what is not.

Would you purchase a vehicle with-out test driving it first?

Hire a professional, full time, educated, trained, active member of a nationally recognized organization to inspect what is probably the largest investment you may ever make, your home.
