Ever met the little boy who had to take things apart just to see how they worked? That was me growing up in Texas. I always had a natural curiosity for the unknown. I am fortunate to have found my calling in being a Professional Home Inspector. I get a chance every day to meet new people, investigate defects, educate, and identify what is, and what is not a problem for my clients.

My first paid construction job was at age 13. Remember “Spanky” from the Little Rascals? He hired me to reconstruct and finish a bar at a Diner he was opening in Fabens Texas. I found out then I could be paid for doing what I love doing. I was hooked on the construction industry from that time on. At age 20, I went into business for myself as a handyman. Within my first year, a commercial contractor took me under his wing and I then planted my roots in the construction industry. I have remained in the trades as a residential General Contractor as well as a Commercial Property Management Company until 1998. I then moved my wife and 3 boys to Colorado and continued in completing remodels and basement finishes. In 2004 I was introduced to my home inspection mentor, Mr. Ed Jones. He saw my potential and passion and what I had to offer this wonderful industry. Ed Jones and his 45 years of experience in the inspection industry is responsible for teaching me how to conduct a professional home inspection. I have now completed over 7,000 home inspections.  I was professionally trained in the home inspection industry at ITA Jones College. I have been a Master Inspector with ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors, NAHI (National Association of Home Inspectors) and InterNACHI (International Association of Certified Home Inspectors). I am certified with NRPP (National Radon Proficiency Program) and a Level 1 thermographer FLIR ITC. This industry is constantly changing, and continuing education is something I feel strongly about. 

I truly care about people and that asset alone is very important to this industry. Being a Professional Home Inspector gives me opportunities each day to help educate people with the knowledge I have gained over the years.
